There’s a certain kind of boredom out here
That I really dread
But I’m learning how to live
With it
Nighttime thinking keeps me moving
Keeps me pushing, I don’t stall
From my own judgement
I just walk up the hill
I am fluid, I am floating
I am tethered, I am soaking
But I’m just free enough
To feel something that’s not it all
I am flying on the outskirts
And just barely reaching in
To the barrel of my mind
That’s brimming heavy with mist
I see me for what I am
Just a body made from chance
Just a soul that gets too heavy
Just a mind that can’t stay still
If I wake up in the morning
And the notes are somehow gone
I’ll imagine it was just a dream
There never was a song
When I’m walking down the street in Fall
The crisp air on my cheeks
I’ll hear something rustle through the trees
That feels like it’s for me
It will be just out of grasp
But the tease is all I need
To know the dream was very real
And the song lives on somewhere
I am fluid, I am floating
I am tethered, I am soaking
But I’m just free enough
To feel something that’s not it all
I am flying on the outskirts
And just barely reaching in
To the barrel of my mind
That’s brimming heavy with mist
I see me for what I am
Just a body made from chance
Just a soul that gets too heavy
Just a mind that can’t stay still
I stop caring where the world is
And where I am within that
I’m a presence, I’m a visitor
A conscience with a laugh

This album is perfect. It was an instant buy for me , and has stayed firmly in my rotation since. Something like if Dinosaur Jr. and Drive By Truckers melded together in the pleasure center of my brain. I can’t wait for more music from them.
